A SunFlower: the road to paradise

A SunFlower

My 9 year-old daughter and I worked on this piece together. She created the picture, and I applied real parts of a sunflower onto it.
We entered the piece in a ‘Sunflower’ art contest, and were awarded in one of the categories. Tomorrow night, Friday (06/08) we will go to the award ceremony. Very special for the both of us!

I love it!
A few friends and I are working a great site devoted to sunflowers. It will have everything imaginable about sunflowers with all kinds of great information, links to the best products and a discussion area. The forum is already open! Check us out at http://www.SunflowerOcity.com

mercy.. something about sunflowers are sooooo happy… ! I just planted some.. to have more references! In philadelphia.. they have fields of them bobbing in the wind… (trouble is…. if you dont have a camera with you… like I did.. the next day if its rained… they are all bowed down to the ground~!) Lovely Illo… thankyou…. for bringing some warmth into my day..

I love the way you pieced this together, and the colors are great!

Very cool pic! I like the collage of colors and textures. Sunflowers are in my paradise, too. I had to check your pic out when I saw the thumbnail on the IF site!
